Ladies Who Lunch

Today the three PJ ladies went to lunch together.

I am pleased to report that we have officially entered an era where Ella and Kate are actually low-maintenance luncheon companions! After four years of cutting food, wiping mouths, bringing our own sippy cups, and entertaining little ones while we wait for our meal, today I managed to do NONE of the above.

They were so very grown up! They ordered for themselves and actually managed to say please without prompting. We played a coloring game while we waited for our entrees. They fed themselves while I paid attention to what was on my plate.

It was so much fun to sit there and talk with my two little ladies while someone else (not me!) served lunch.

Ella had tomato salad, penne with butter and parmesan, and pear sorbet.
Kate had tomato salad, pepperoni pizza, and strawberry (pronounced straw-bree) ice cream.
Next thing on our agenda: table manners.

Judging from the photos, these ladies who lunch Kate needs to learn how to wipe her mouth and sit facing forward in her seat if I am going to be seen out on the town with her in the future. :)

  1. Hmmmm. KATE needs to wipe her mouth??? I have a daughter who still gets food all over her face when she eats something she really enjoys. Maybe Kate takes after her!?
