February Half Term

During Ella's school breaks we typically drag our kids on trips. On the two-week October break we went to Kent (Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Dover, and Hever Castle), over Christmas break we went to Cornwall (Truro, Tintagel, Land's End, and Scorhill), over the upcoming term break we're going to northern Wales, and for the next half term we are going to Italy!

But during this cold, dreary February half term we decided to stay at home. I didn't feel like freezing my buns off walking around the cities of Europe, and I thought it would be nice to give the girls a week that was all about what THEY wanted to do. So we went to Magic Land (our UK Ramba Zamba equivalent) with some friends from school. We went bowling at Tenpin with other school friends. We had a few play days at home with our American buddies. But most of all we just took it easy and let the sisters soak up their time together.

We got a dog.

He is an English bulldog. He's also a college graduate.  His name is Winston.

There was a slumber party every night and sister snuggles every morning.

Nick had to go to work, but we stayed in our pajamas until noon.

Bath time shenanigans.

Sister team work.

We watched Secret of the Wings at least three times.
Here they are doing their best Tink/Peri impression.

We took silly pictures of our unintelligent cat.

And we had a cozy weekend at home.
I love to travel, experience new things, and have adventures with my little family. But I'm a homebody at heart. These low key weeks at home are my favorite.

I love this post! Sometimes, staying home in your pjs and doing nothing is the best vacation!

I love the slumber parties. It makes me a little sad Evie doesn't have a sister...
